Ascarii targets Oz as it looks to increase turnover

NETPark-based software firm Ascarii has its sights set on Australia as it forges ahead with its global ambitions

Ascarii , which was founded four years ago , is targeting a £ 10 million turnover within three years – growth of 500 per cent – and to triple its number of staff . The company is one of the UK ’ s leading providers of cloudbased SAP Business One business management solutions . The software is a tool which delivers time saving , cost effective solutions across a single business system , so businesses can access processes , such as accounts or undertake stock taking , from anywhere in the world .

The east coast of the US could be a strong market for us , therefore it is on our growth roadmap , and our current focus will be to open an office in Australia so we can truly provide 24-hour support .

Ascarii chose NETPark partly because of the high-tech businesses on the site and the support provided by staff at Business Durham , the economic development company for County Durham , which runs NETPark .

From growth to gold : 15 years of regulatory excellence

Pool Innovation Centre-based consultancy TRAC is celebrating its crystal anniversary after 15 years of providing regulatory expertise to the pharmaceutical industry

The Regulatory Affairs Consultancy ( TRAC ) started in 2001 when husbandand-wife team , Jonathan and Sarah Trethowan , moved back to Cornwall . In 2005 the couple recruited their first three employees ( all of whom are still with the company ) and have enjoyed year-on-year growth since .

December 2010 . When TRAC arrived at the centre they had just ten employees . The excellent services , support and facilities provided by the innovation centre team have been central to the growth achieved . In the space of just over five years , the employee count has grown to a team of 22 .
TRAC offers a full suite of regulatory affairs services to the global pharmaceutical industry and works with a variety of clients , from SMEs to large multinational corporations .
More than three-quarters of the business comes from clients eager to work with the company again . In their last financial year , TRAC increased client numbers from 11 to 18 and has started their new financial year with five new clients signed up already .
