How has the Observability market evolved in the last year ?
There are always advancements in solutions engineering . Noticeably over the last year however , we have seen a huge rise in AI-embodied Observability . We have been able to help more customers understand the loopholes to their problems — they can find it , fix it and make sure it doesn ’ t happen again .
How has Riverbed incorporated AI into its solutions ?
IT environments are becoming more complex as users are now anywhere and everywhere . Data collection is hard , and data analysis is even harder .
However , AI understands the commonalities between all the data collected , leaving it able to benchmark behaviours . Riverbed often uses AI to help customers with an abundance of data , in order to assist with anomaly detection .
AI software can also be utilised for troubleshooting an entire incident , helping to highlight where the problem comes from in a very complex environment . The use of AI reduces time and resources , helping companies become more cost-efficient .
Do you see AIOps becoming the next big focus for IT teams ?
Artificial Intelligence drastically helps automate the lifecycles of all the knowledge one has collected . It enables companies to collect all the data from all the domains , across all levels , from any application , any user and any type of infrastructure . Causal AI — the use of Artificial Intelligence to pinpoint the root cause and implications of a particular problem — is a big talking point for Riverbed , as well as other organisations . The most beautiful thing to come from AIOps , is automation . Artificial Intelligence helps to form instantaneous solutions in the form of selfhealing , as well as its capacity to send automated alerts .
What can we expect from Riverbed in the year ahead ?
Riverbed will continue to expand and develop existing services , while launching some new creative operations as well . Riverbed has a clear mission to continue to be the only platform on the market that offers a complete AI embedded Observability service .
To do this , we need to maintain the platform as open , smart and simple . Just this year , Riverbed has launched the NPM + model — a unique technology that helps customers look into network effects in Zero Trust environments or work from anywhere users through mobile Observability . Riverbed also wishes to incorporate GenAI to enhance intelligence and data collection capabilities , as well as developing AI for forecasting and predicting issues .

What is the update on Observability
In today ’ s world , IT is becoming more complex every passing day . Observability is about looking into every single aspect of your IT environment , extracting the data and converting it into a meaningful form in order to present insights to the organisation . Riverbed are doing exactly this to a point where we are able to get all this information and explore what is critical to one ’ s environment to efficiently problem solve .
What are the business benefits to your recent implementation of Mobile Observability ?
In the current working climate , we know a lot of people are working from home , be that employers , customers or consumers . The way applications are built on a mobile phone , versus a tablet , versus a laptop , differs greatly . Because of this , it is vital to be able to track and analyse data from mobile devices to gain more insightful and comparable observations . At Riverbed , we use Mobile Observability to access applications from anywhere , whether at home , a coffee shop or at an airport . Riverbed has recently launched ‘ Aternity Mobile ’ which gains knowledge of how applications are being used from your mobile in order to compare experiences for users .
Which end user pain points and end user expectations does Mobile Observability address ?
The new agents used in Mobile Observability can extract information from mobile devices such as user experience , duration , navigation and much more . This combination gives the correct preventative outcomes to CIOs so they can address the problems faced , minimising end user issues . p
