Vasily Dyagilev , Regional Director , Check Point
hHow does Check Point ’ s participation at this year ’ s GITEX reflect its long-term commitment to the GCC region ?
We committed to the GCC a while ago . For the last few years , we have invested into localisation of our solutions for the market . To give our customers full compliance with the data sovereignty law , we placed our data centre in the GCC region , in Dubai , to be more precise . Therefore , none of the data that is being processed by Check Point products is actually leaving the country . Additionally , we are expanding the portfolio of products that are localised .
At GITEX , we launched the Infinity XDR / XPR solution , which is also localised for GCC customers and partners in the region . As a Check Point model , we always try to be as compliant with market requirements as possible and provide as many localised solutions as is technically doable .
Can you explain how Infinity XDR and XPR will transform security operations in the region ?
The biggest differentiator of our platform is that it provides a very holistic approach to security . You don ' t need to manage different assets in your organisation anymore , let it be cloud or on-premises installations . Effectively , all security solutions are now falling under the Infinity umbrella . As a security specialist , you can now manage all your on-premises and cloud workloads in the same way with one single management platform .
This has always been the USP of Check Point . Our management solution is designed to ensure security is simple , understandable and , most importantly , manageable . This is one of our core developments .
Can you tell us more about Check Point ’ s regional activities , with insights into regional case studies ?
We are participating in a lot of activities with governmental agencies and providing a lot of information that is not only product related , but also threat related to a lot of authorities , be that cybersecurity council or other initiatives . We ' re also part of the Crystal Ball project , which is being driven at a government level .
We are analysing GCC-specific threats and have very in-depth expertise on the common threats specific to this region .
How does Check Point ’ s AI-driven approach enhance threat detection and incident response ?
Check Point has been using AI technologies for more than a decade . We have more than 50 engines which are running inside our products , analysing known and unknown threats .
Additionally , we are introducing AI capabilities of co-pilot into our products and interfaces . Previously , it was more on the backbone of our products , but now it is also customer-facing . With the majority of our products , you can communicate in a simple human manner . There ’ s no need to type out a special command anymore ; you can actually talk to your security system in the way you talk to people and it will give you all the insights of the incidents , or all the insights of what is happening inside your system .
What did attendees at GITEX Global experience through your live demonstrations this year ?
We showcased all our existing solutions and the brand-new launch of Infinity XDR / XPR . Each of the participants at GITEX , or future conventions , were able to test it live to see their threat exposure . Additionally , they were able to register for a free audit , that we as a company provide for the security systems . p
