TEDX @ CHS- TEDxYouth@TCHS
TED is a non-profit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Started as a four-day conference in
California almost 30 years ago, TED has grown to support those world-changing ideas with multiple
initiatives.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people
together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to
spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx,
where x = independently organized TED event. The TED
Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx
program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.
The Cambridge High School Abu Dhabi recently held the
first school TEDx event in Abu Dhabi on 19 th November
2016. Their event, TEDxYouth@TCHS comprised of a
series of 16 inspiring talks with people from different
walks of life, from fresh-faced students to poets to
educators.
