Conclusions and recommendations
Overall , it appears that using retrieval-based starter activities with 10C over a 5-week period has led to an attainment increase of 27 % and , therefore , by proxy , an improvement in retention of topic knowledge . This possibly suggests that retrieval techniques are of benefit to students in this context . It is , however , important to note this is a small-scale study over a short-time period .
