SOBHA CELEBRATES INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY
The word “Yoga “is derived from the Sanskrit word “yuj”, which means to unite or integrate the spirit and physical body. It refers to
physical, spiritual, mental practices or disciplines that aim to transform body and mind.
As much as physical exercise for the body, Yoga can revitalise and reenergise both mind and body if one is committed and pursue it
regularly. In the modern lifestyle lack of physical exercise and high stress levels in our day to day life has only enhanced the importance
of yoga for us.
Sobhaites participating in International Yoga Day celebration
It is therefore important to spend some time in practicing yoga every day. A balanced life can be obtained through yoga that harmonizes body and soul with ‘ASANAS’, pranayama and meditation. Yoga indeed honors the journey to wholeness and the belief that each
person has a unique path to integrating mind, body and spirit.
As part of the International Yoga Day celebration, we observed a 2 day in-house training program at Sobha Corporate Office, Bengaluru. The program witnessed participation of more than 100 Sobhaites across different departments of the organization. The Yoga
program was undertaken in participation with yoga experts – Isha Foundation, Coimbatore.
