As I wrapped up Issue No. 47 this month,
I was reminded of when it all began
for InkSpired Magazine. I specifically
remembered why I came up with the title,
“InkSpired.” Inspiration is human nature.
None of us would be here if there was a lack
of inspiration. Not only is it a fundamental
part of survival, it’s what constantly propels
us forward. It’s art, music, innovation,
success, emotion, and everything in
between. It’s in the air we breathe, the food
we eat, and the clean water we drink.
Each month, we pour our sources of
inspiration into the magazine, as well as
celebrate the inspiration of others. To be
inspired is the greatest feeling in the world, to
be “InkSpired” is what brings us all together.
In these pages, we commemorate what
makes us all unique and at the same time
unites us: ink.
Zhara’s world, and it’s a beautiful one at that.
We haven’t forgotten that it is, in fact, fall in
the Northern Hemisphere. In fashion, we
feature Se7en Deadly, just in time for the
wears of Halloween season. In the article,
owner and art director, Annie Boerner talks
about her inspiration for the fashion line:
elegantly macabre. The beautiful and creepy
doesn’t stop there in this issue. The art
section this month hosts The Sage Creatures
Under Your Bed: The Art of Brandan Styles
who shifts the paradigm of evil as we know it
through his work. It’s an interesting contrast
that shines light on the always other side of
the story.
