The name of the brand was always something that worried Annie when it came to the Catholic community. She was afraid they would come knocking on her door. Ironically, one of her first sales as Se7en Deadly at an art walk was to none other than a priest. Annie remembers having the transaction, “I was literally in shock.” The t-shirt in question was the now popular gent’s tee, “Lust,” depicting the devil molesting a nun. Much to Annie’s relief, she testifies, “A month later, a friend of the priest returned to the art walk and reassured me that it had become a favorite of his and he wore it all the time!
