The Show Goes On

Catie Knauerhase

A girl walks alone

And there is no one left to see

Where all the tears she cries

Carve well-worn paths in her cheeks

She tried to call for help

Figured no one really cared

For a girl with bright green eyes

And a heart broken beyond repair

Now as she walks along

Down a cold and empty road

She realizes now more than ever

She was completely alone

Her friends and family left her side

A long time ago

Now there was no one to help her

So now she was at the end of her show

She walked over to a cliff and cried

“Thank you for coming

But now the show is over,

I really must be going!”

So she walked off the edge

And into oblivion

And her only dying thought

Was for her family’s show to go on
