he trained for. Before 2010, Hill
was enrolled in the MBA program
at the Shidler Business School at
the University of Hawai‘i. He spent
a year in Hawai‘i learning international business and Chinese, then a
year studying at Sun Yat-Sen University in Guangzhou and working
at the U.S. consulate in Shanghai.
The plan was for him to stay there,
living and working in China.
After graduating the program,
