UPDATE Ingomar Child Enrichment Center The strengths of Ingomar Child Enrichment Center (ICEC) are being affirmed by nearcapacity preschool enrollment for 20142015. Child Development Center (CDC) registrations are still being accepted, and placements will continue throughout the school year on a daily basis as long as space is available. FAMILY FUN NIGHT This year’s “Outer Space” themed Family Fun Night included games like Galactic Bingo, Rings Around Saturn, Meteor Toss, as well as crafts, face-painting, dinner, a family photo booth, and storytelling. “This event is all about the mission of ICEC,” said ICEC Director Robin Macon. “It’s simply for the purpose of bringing families together to have fun and experience community. And each year the Parent Steering committee chooses a charity to support, and all proceeds from the event go to the charity. It is not a fundraiser for ICEC.” Proceeds from this year’s event went to The Education Partnership, a Pittsburgh-based organization that distributes school and classroom supplies to eligible students and teachers at no cost. SPRING PLANT SALE The annual Plant Sale benefits the ICEC. Order forms are available in the ICEC and are being accepted until Sunday, April 13. Plants will be available for pick-up on Saturday, May 17th from 9:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m. ICEC Carnival Featuring 20-30 activities and crafts May 22nd in the lower parking lot Join in the fun – Hot dogs, a scavenger hunt, and family fellowship! Volunteer Opportunities: The ICEC needs volunteers during the summer to help with basic tasks such as spreading mulch on the playground, simple painting projects, and organizing and updating supply closets.
