PFLNG ( Petronas ) first floating liquefied natural gas , also known as PFLNG SATU , was developed for the Kanowit gas field off the coast of Sarawak in Malaysia .
TYPICAL SITE CONSTRUCTION INTEGRATION WORK
Upon completion of modular fabrication in the main shipyard , the marine and in-land transportation delivery is a key driver to set up , erect and install all the completed modules in accordance with the approved site plot plan . This phase is a stick-built process with the site construction integration work activities by discipline such as : -
● Structural – module to be seated on the module support structure or stick-built foundation pedestal . Module-to-Module , Module-to-Piperack and insert plate installation .
● Equipment – pipe alignment and connection on the vessel , process column , pump , turbine , cold-box , heat exchanger , etc . In some cases , there might be site internal or tray installation or insulation work required , if the vessel and process colunms are not fully dressed up upon manufacturing delivery or have not been installed on the module .
● Piping – integration or hook-up of pipe spools completion coupled with pipe pressure testing grouping . In some cases , the piping system testing will be done in the main shipyard as part of maximising and optimising the scope at the main shipyard prior to the module delivery date . The golden weld concept is applied where necessary by identifying the joints where this is required through detailed engineering concessions and resolution approval . Subsequently , the norm site piping punchlist , reinstatement and rectification such as valves , in-line instrumentation , permanent gasket , installation is carried out . The remaining pipe painting and insulation is continued upon achieving System Mechanical Completion ( SMC ) and Systemisation Priority Base Schedule ( SPBS ).
● Electrical and Instrumentation ( E & I ) – majority of the work will be cable pulling between piperack and modules , cable termination , tubing installation .
● Painting and Insulation – final modules touch-up painting , PFP and CSP completion , and insulation completion .
