Although prioritisation and recruitment efforts have been given to local workers before any initiative to procure foreign workers, the issue of the shortage of workers still persists, hence an influx of foreign workers is inevitable. Workers in Malaysia’s construction industry can be categorised into three broad types, namely; the skilled worker, the semi- skilled worker, and the unskilled worker (Khamis, Suratkon, Mohammad, & Yaman, 2017).
