supports national policies such as the National Agricommodity Policy ( 2021-2030 ), the National Food Security Policy ( 2021-2025 ), the National Agrofood Policy ( 2021-2030 ), the 10-10MySTIE Framework and the National Biomass Action Plan ( 2023-2030 ).
Changes in the workforce environment as a result of modern technological advances have driven the need to secure human capital with relevant and adequate skills in the agricultural value chain . Therefore , IKP also plays a role in producing professional agricultural engineers and scholars who are equipped with the necessary skills through graduate programmes at the Master ' s and PhD levels .
It is clear here that IKP plays a big role in the agricultural industry by helping the agricultural sector transition to become more competitive by using various science and technology drivers to create core innovations that can increase return on value . For example , a high return value on palm oil will increase the country ' s economic activity when the society , including small palm oil farmers , has greater purchasing power .
Conclusion
Sensing technologies , Robotics , 3D Printing , the Internet of Things , Big Data , Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain are the push factors that influence how much technology adaptation and integration can be used for Smart Agriculture . These technologies can help achieve higher yield , better crop quality , less labour , remote monitoring , reduced crop loss , and reduced usage of fertilisers and pesticides .
Modernising the agricultural industry can create more highly-skilled jobs in the agriculture sector , addressing the issue of the high
