Most Prominent and Most Prominent Young Engineering Leader Awards
BEM awarded the following Malaysian Engineers with premier awards to recognise their significant contributions to the Engineering Fraternity at national and international levels :
1 . Anugerah Tokoh Kejuruteraan Malaysia LJM 2022 ( BEM Malaysia Most Prominent Engineering Leader Award 2022 ) Recipient : Tan Sri Datuk Ir . Academician Dr Ahmad Tajuddin bin Ali
2 . Anugerah Tokoh Muda Kejuruteraan Malaysia LJM 2022 ( BEM Malaysia Most Prominent Young Engineering Leader Award 2022 ): Recipient Prof . Madya Ir . Dr Lai Khin Wee
These premier awards are to recognise prominent Malaysians who are role models in the engineering profession , persons of high integrity , remarkable leadership , exhibited meritorious impact to the community and are iconic figures in the engineering industry . The Award recipients are distinguished persons of eminent and exemplary standing in the engineering profession who had made major impact on nation building and society . The recipients had demonstrated creativity ,
innovativeness and resourcefulness in their roles , responsibilities and functions .
The award recipients received Gold Coins worth RM10,000.00 and RM5,000.00 for Tokoh Kejuteraan IJM and Tokoh Muda Kejuruteraan IJM respectively .
BEM-ECP SAFETY , HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT EXCELLENCE AWARD ( BESHEXA ) 2022
The inaugural BEM-ECP Safety , Health and Environment Excellence Award ( BESHEXA ), started in 2022 , will be a bi-annual award presented to Engineering Consultancy Practices ( ECP ) in Malaysia . The award was introduced to recognise ECPs that proactively practise and excel in Safety , Health and Environment ( SHE ) performance in their workplace in accordance to the Safety and Health Management System - ISO 45001 : 2018 and the Environmental Management System - ISO 14001 : 2015 .
The Winner of this inaugural BESHEXA 2022 was PY Konsep Perunding Sdn Bhd , a registered ECP from Kota Kinabalu , Sabah . Special Mention Awards were given to DAR Energy Sdn Bhd and SMHB Sdn Bhd .
