Government intervention benefits the development of rural infrastructures to provide facilities which entail large investments , beyond the capacity of individuals or private enterprises
for rural areas . The Master Plan should also consider minimising the impact of projects on the environment and the social well-being of rural communities .
The Federal Government should allocate more budgeted finance for road construction in rural areas , especially in Sabah and Sarawak , by considering special factors such as project and material supply locations , which differ from those of the flatter areas of the peninsula . In addition , the Government should work to exchange information with State Governments regarding the development of rural locations , and state and local Government planners should be required to complete structured and intensive modules specifically targeted on rural road planning as well as formulating a strategic approach to solving the issue of land acquisition . Furthermore , the Government should appoint development experts to draft and empower the roadmap as a guideline for the parties involved in the development of rural roads . They should strengthen the EIA process through proactive planning and increased community involvement , increased allocation of financial resources for evaluations , and develop a highly skilled field workforce .
Last , but not least , Government intervention benefits the development of rural infrastructure to provide facilities which entail large investments , beyond the capacity of individuals or private enterprises , in line with the slogan “ Luar Bandar Sejahtera ” by the Ministry of Rural Development to enhance economic growth of rural areas .
