Another section , called the Oriental Pavilion , is made to resemble a living room with antique furniture and walls of brush paintings . The gallery is freely open to the public .
ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN OF MENARA KEN TTDI
Menara KEN TTDI was built to create platinumgrade office and event space with good amenities , features , safety , and high green ratings and also to provide a sustainable lifestyle for people befitting their needs – to work , play and live comfortably yet safely in one place in an environmentally sustainable manner .
The design and fit out of the building prioritise energy efficiency and integrated green features . The building was innovatively designed by maximising the use of space , incorporating aesthetically pleasing and fully functional features : a full glass façade building envelope , transparent atrium skylight to optimise natural daylight coming into the building , and a 24-hour zoned airconditioning system .
AIR-CONDITIONING SYSTEM
The one-of-a-kind air-conditioning system in Menara KEN TTDI is designed to provide tenants with a 24-hour multi-zoned air-conditioning system . It allows tenants to control the airconditioning within their office space as well as the temperature . It is suitable for MNCs requiring long and flexible hours .
It consists of the following features :
● The chiller plant is located on the rooftop next to the cooling tower .
● A Thermal Energy Storage ( TES ) system with a capacity of 3,000 RTh ( Refrigerant Tons Hours ).
● Provides 300 RT of cooling capacity during the day operation for a total of 10 hours .
● The shifting of part of the daytime ’ s cooling demand to night-time cooling demand that allows the chillers to be running at their most optimal loading condition . This enhances the chiller plant ’ s running efficiency , reducing electrical consumption .
The air-conditioning system in this building is designed based on the reading factor of 0.673 kW / ton ( Water-System 0.554 kW / ton , Air-system Fan 0.119 kW / ton ).
