Display and Monitoring system
The advantage of the STARS system is that information such as traffic light location map , phase information , loop sensor , intersection statistic , operation status , and others can be monitored on a single screen , as illustrated in Figure 9 .
Figure 10 shows the real statistics of intersections and working status for each traffic light that uses the STARS system , which can be accessed via portable devices such as a mobile phone , tablet , or laptop , as well as a monitoring centre . STARS can also keep up with the most recent operating circumstances .
Figures 11 , 12 , and 13 show the analysis periods for each phase , vehicle counts at certain intersections , and the status of traffic controllers ( Multi Plan-MP / Vehicle Actuated-VA ) and warning lists by STARS .
