These are some of the benefits of using QLASSIC as the assessment tool for measuring workmanship :
1 . To benchmark the quality of workmanship of the construction industry . Thus , it becomes the yardstick for the developer or project owner to measure contractor performance .
2 . To establish a standard quality assessment system on the quality of workmanship on construction work . It needs the intention to be a good developer or contractor as it requires the internal development of trade skills of construction workers .
3 . To assess the quality of workmanship of a construction project based on the relevant approved standard . This standard requires compliance to ensure developers enable the quality of workmanship in the project to meet the requirements .

CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION
The improvement of quality standards can be achieved by increasing the implementation of QLASSIC assessment . This system assesses contractor workmanship and broader quality assurance in the construction of buildings , which leads to improvements in the quality of both contractors and overall construction work .
From the total number of 887 projects which underwent QLASSIC assessment for the years 2015 , 2016 , 2017 and 2018 , the total mean QLASSIC scores were 73 , 72 , 72 and 74 respectively . Table 1 shows that the overall mean score was 72.75 . In conclusion , the overall mean QLASSIC score exceeded 70 .
It is recommended that Government agencies , local authorities and private clients encourage or enforce the developers to include a minimum QLASSIC score as part of their contractual requirement for the residential project . This enforcement will increase the quality of workmanship .
