A number of events and activities were organised over two days for all types of visitors, namely 1. Stakeholder Engagement Session 2. ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer (ACPE) Certificate Presentation Ceremony 3. Professional Competency Examination (PCE) Certificate Presentation Ceremony 4. STEM Competition and Exhibition (involving primary, secondary and university students) 5. Mini Seminar (two main seminars and nine mini seminars) 6 6 6. Clinic and Help Desk 7. Exhibition booths More than 1,000 visitors including school and university students benefited from the two-day event. In conclusion, the BEM Open Day has promoted the role of BEM, as well as increased awareness on each and every function of BEM. It has also provided opportunities for face-to- face interaction between BEM and registered persons to resolve their problems and issues. It is proposed that such an event be organised annually by BEM for the benefit of registered engineers and the public.
