The“ Warisan Sungei Klang” group is now turning the abutment wall below the new bridge into murals depicting Klang’ s historical and iconic buildings, and an old train that once plied between Kuala Lumpur to Port Swettenham. Credit must be given to this group for creating activities on environmental awareness and appreciation for the nostalgic features of the old Klang Kota Bridge.
A group of members from the newly formed“ Warisan Sungei Klang” comprising mainly Klang residents celebrated the 60th anniversary of the old Klang Kota Bridge on December 31, 2016 with programmes such as a painting exhibition by artists and talks on the history of Klang town and Kota Bridge. The bridge is no longer used for its original purpose but has been retained as part of Klang’ s heritage.
