In general , the DeLIGHT Homes building has good design features with a natural ventilation system . The building has an adequate opening that produces enough natural airflow . The airflow is well distributed in every housing unit , especially in the living , dining , and master bedrooms .

ventilation that is driven by buoyancy . Buoyancy ventilation results from density differences between interior and exterior air , causing warm air to rise above cold air , thus creating an upward airstream .
In general , the DeLIGHT Homes building has good design features with a natural ventilation system . The building has an adequate opening that produces enough natural airflow . The airflow is well distributed in every housing unit , especially in the living , dining , and master bedrooms . The average airflow speed of around 0.5 m / s at every level will create a feeling of freshness at a comfortable temperature .
Conclusion
CFD simulation , as previously demonstrated , aids in the design of effective ventilation systems to optimise the efficiency of natural and mechanical ventilation by identifying inefficiencies where cold or warm air is wasted or mixed . Wind and buoyancy are used in the simulation to move fresh air through a building . As a result , new development or redevelopment for housing construction should use CFD or a similar tool to simulate the design to ensure a sustainable house design and optimal building orientation .
