Carpe Diem Award - in memory of Holly Butcher DC’s new Carpe Diem award will be given out annually, in honour of Holly Butcher, to a dietitian who best exemplifies these traits: - Demonstrates compassion and kindness in his or her work. We presented the Carpe Diem award to our inaugural recipient at Dietitians Unite 2018, with Holly’s family in attendance. The winner – chosen by Holly’s family from a pool of very deserving nominations – was Brisbane-based cancer wellness dietitian Katie Benton. Katie’s nomination stood out for her dedication to patient quality of life and willingness to challenge the status quo to get the best possible care for the patient – both, areas that Holly herself was passionate about.
