Strategic Objectives To be academically excellent 2 3 4 5 To create, exploit and transfer knowledge High quality information systems and services will enhance the student experience, improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the processes that support learning and teaching. The Information Strategy will facilitate the development of a content-rich learning environment, blending external and local resources, making it easier for students to access the learning resources they require. 1 To develop confident employable graduates The Information Strategy will encourage students to benefit from readily available access to information. They will develop information skills which encourage them to explore and exploit innovative approaches to learning and which will remain relevant post-graduation. The Information Strategy supports the generation of new knowledge and understanding, facilitating access to the global knowledge base and providing a range of information and resources that enhance research capability. The effective dissemination of research outputs is seen as integral to the research process. Aims The information systems and services of the University support its academic function. An appropriate standard of provision for equipment and learning technologies is established and provided to students to enable them to maximise their learning experience. Specialist application hardware and software is available to support teaching.
