OPTIMISM-BE CONTAGIOUS!
As I’ m writing this, the election season is ugly. Name calling and idea bashing are the norm. I’ m waiting to hear,“ Oh yeah? Well, my dad’ s bigger than your dad.” As you’ re reading this, it should be nearly Election Day. I have no idea who will be the next president of the United States or which agenda will get pushed. But either way, we’ ll be okay. So, what about this optimism thing? Optimism is one of the core values at Grand General. It is an important element of everything we do. We need to be optimistic in order to do our best for you( and for ourselves). I don’ t want to be in a place that is constantly negative, nor do I enjoy talking to people that are constantly looking for the dark clouds( unless they’ re storm chasers!). I am able to write this and you are able to read it. Whether you agree with me or not, we can be thankful for reading, writing, communicating, and the option to agree or disagree. We’ ve all heard the question“ Is the glass half full or half empty?” Optimism says,“ The glass is completely full. Half air, half water.” Optimism is a choice. We all have a lot to be optimistic about— especially in the United States. Yes, we have to deal with politicians, but we have a choice in that, too. And no matter who is elected, the United States will survive. We may be in a rocky time right now, but the best is still to come. So, make a choice to be optimistic. You’ ll be happier and so will the people around you. Thank you for choosing to work with us. We hope you find it to be another reason to be optimistic.
Sincerely,
