About AIRAH
What we do
Officially, AIRAH is a not-for-profit industry
organisation; it exists to benefit its members
and for the greater good. AIRAH acts as the
voice and conscience of the air conditioning
and refrigeration industry to government.
Conferences
AIRAH regularly hosts national conferences,
state-based technical seminars, and organises
product nights across Australia.
Who we are
Established in 1920, the Australian Institute of
Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating
(AIRAH) is an independent, specialist, notfor-profit technical organisation providing
leadership in the HVAC&R sector through
collaboration, engagement and professional
development.
AIRAH represents the entire breadth of
the HVAC&R industry – from the man in
the van to research-focused academics;
from plumbers and fridgies to designers
of the nation’s most high-performing
buildings; from sole operators to the
chief executives of large corporations.
Training
Also part of our remit is professional
development, education and training, and
accreditation programs. AIRAH encourages
world’s best practice within the industry.
We develop the competency and skills
of industry practitioners at all levels.
Publications and communications
The Institute produces a variety of
publications and communications aimed
at championing industry best practice,
including Ecolibrium and HVAC&R Nation.
