Set just outside of Kenora, this once-dated lake home has been completely transformed into a warm, modern gathering space designed around the way the homeowners truly live. What began as a simple update quickly evolved into a full reimagining of the main living area, with a focus on better flow, stronger functionality, and a deeper connection to the surrounding landscape.
Originally, the kitchen was tucked into one corner of the room, limiting both movement and sightlines. By relocating the kitchen to the opposite wall, the entire space opened up. The new layout now centres around a generous island that serves as both a prep space and casual dining hub, while creating distinct zones for cooking, entertaining, and relaxing.
