The first thing we changed wasn’ t the layout. It was the light.
When we started planning our exterior renovation, we thought we’ d focus on siding and curb appeal. But after one consultation with LUSH Windows & Doors, it became clear that our windows and doors would completely transform how our home looked and felt.
We chose a set of black-framed vinyl casement windows for the front of the house. They instantly modernized the exterior while letting in so much more natural light inside. For the back, we went with a large sliding patio door with low-E glass. It opened up our kitchen to the yard in a way we didn’ t expect. It honestly feels like we added square footage without building anything new.
The biggest upgrade, though, was our front entrance. We replaced our old door with a fiberglass exterior door in a warm woodgrain finish, paired with full-height sidelites. It gave the house that polished, welcoming look we always wanted, and the insulation difference was noticeable right away.
