the lyrics are based off the emotions that the music (which fellow bandamatesGerrit Welmers and William Cashion write) may create and put that in whats happening in Samuel's life. "Singles" and "On The Water" dealt with Samuel's break-ups and the period when the band had to take risks to go forward with their dreams of making music. Samuel mentioned that they never really tried to push any agendas with their creations, and is excited to explore the different ways of song making with his band mates.
Trivia: Samuel loves "a strong cup of coffee, with a cigarette and probably a cheeseburger all at the same time." On his voice and why he will never be in a metal band: "if i actually sang in a metal band, then i would destroy my voice. the voice basically comes from being not able to sing notes that i used to be able to sing."
