Editorial Note:
It's the 5th Laneway Festival in Singapore and the 2nd I've attended. Unlike most of the festivals I've been to in the foreign lands, Laneway is one that I hang out most with my friends (music appreication aside). The fun of locating friends among 13k people is another highlight of the event. Musically, St Vincent, Royal Blood and FKA Twigs ruled them all and Annie Clark thoroughly deserved the headlining slot. On the other hand, it was disappointing to see Banks perform over dubbed tracks - my disappointment could of cos, be a result of my high expectations. Anyhow, enjoy the stunning black and white pictures captured by Eddie Sung, and coloured prints by the official Laneway photographers. I did not manage to cover all the bands at the festival owing to a dental emergency, but I'm sure you'll have fun reading through the little bits. Till the next Laneway!
