6. On your blog, you have ‘places that inspire’ when you visit somewhere new, do you find a story developing and has this happened for any of your novels?

Absolutely. Pyramid in the Daniel series was written after a Christmas spent in Rome. Surviving Beauty uses the Sierra Nevada region in Spain, again after time spent there. Both The Daniel Series and The West Cork Trilogy use Nice on the Cote-de Azure as a prime location. We spend much time there.

Every time I go somewhere new, I absorb the place in great detail with a view to using it in future book. Not only that but I'm constantly observing activity that goes on around me, watching the people in those places. These images, experiences, snippets of conversation are continually filtering through my imagination and are woven into my stories and characters.
