Born in India, now living in Singapore
with her husband and daughter, Uma Venkatraman is a journalist who would rather be a poet.
She has always liked to write — half-done stories stashed away and forgotten, poems jotted down but never shared,
until she joined Poets of G+ and Words on Fire, poetry communities on G+, a couple of years ago.
Since then, she has been writing regularly,
and finds it rewarding and fulfilling to share her work, and read and learn from other talented poets.
She finds her inspiration in life, relationships and emotions and her feelings find a voice in words.
Besides writing,
she loves travelling,
is a movie buff
and loves to spend time with close friends.
