teaching science, even methods of teaching music and art, but no methods of teaching writing class. That just seems crazy to me! Somehow, I made it through school and college and still have a passion for writing and have successfully published many children's picture books and some articles in magazines. I also have taken many creative writing classes and have gone to countless writing conferences and workshops to hone my skills to both write and teach writing to others. Writing block is one of my favorite times of the school day and I hold writing camps for kids every summer. As a board member of the Indiana State Reading Association, I have presented, "Be an Amazing Writing Teacher" at the ISRA annual conference for many years.
