An academic work thoroughly analysed. Total of fourty-four pages of bibliography on unpublished material, books, pamphlets and articles. It is a good book for general readers and could provide some fresh ideas for professionals. Deals with controversial problems like herbal birth control for Indian women, but only in general terms without being specific about the use. A growing interest in Indian problems— their culture and medicine is discussed daily in the American press, on television and radio— encouraged the University of Oklahoma to publish this book. All in all it is an informative book about American Indians. We did not see a single review about this book, but it deserves attention.
