2009, India had grown to become the world's largest producer of the following agricultural products:
• Fresh Fruit • Pulses
• Lemons and limes • Indigenous buffalo meat
• Buffalo milk, whole, fresh • Fruit, tropical
• Castor oil seeds • Ginger
• Sunflower seeds • Chick peas
• Sorghum • Areca nuts
• Millet • Other bastfibres
• Spices • Pigeon peas
• Okra • Papayas
• Jute • Chillies and peppers, dry
• Beeswax • Anise, badian, fennel, coriander
• Bananas • Goat milk, whole, fresh
• Mangoes, mangosteens, guavas
Per final numbers for 2009, India is the world's second largest producer of the following agricultural
products:
• Wheat • Garlic
• Rice • Cauliflowers and broccoli
• Fresh vegetables • Peas, green
• Sugar cane • Sesame seed
