We,the team from St.Mark’s Sr.Sec.Public School,MeeraBagh,New Delhi,India, would like to express our deep sense of gratitude towards this project and its coordinator: Ms. Sarah Koopmans, for giving us a chance to be a part of this unique and interesting project. Frankly speaking, my interest towards history is very less. I really didn’t like to read about the World Wars, or other historical clashes that killed millions, before I became a part of this project. Through this project, we all got to know so many facts and figures concerning the World War 2, that it literally came as a shock to me. The devastating effects of the war and the plight of the people suffering from them were just unbearable. I wonder, “How could someone be so ruthless as to take away someone’s life?” But this was all what happened. And what is the need to do such inhuman crimes? Why can’t we people live together as a global community? We all have seen the futility of such wars, because of their destructive impact on life and property. They are actually a blot on humanity. So, as the title suggests: WW2: Keep it a history...and now let us all start planning for a better future. According to me, all of us should come together and start working to create a peaceful global community, where all of us live happily and contentedly. After all, we all are God’s children, so there’s no point fighting with our own brothers and sisters.
