and Radiologists. India has always strived
to develop the in-house Human Resource
Capacity of friendly countries such a Malawi.
Bhabhatron-II is an advanced gamma
beam therapy unit to deliver precision dose
delivery for radical treatments. Such as
Three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy
(3-D CRT); Intensity Modulated Radiation
Therapy (IMRT); with enhanced features
like a motorized wedge, auto-setup, computer
console, advanced radiolucent patient couch,
R&V compatibility, auto-closure mechanism
during an emergency. Bhabhatron-II
teletherapy solution has got a rave review
from radiotherapy community for being
highly aff ordable when clinics across the
geographies are deterred by capital-intensive
radiotherapy installations and its subsequent
running-cost.
The primary objective of the Government
of India, to set up the Advanced State of
the Radiotherapy facility in Malawi called
- BHABHATRON-II TAW is to cater to the
needs of the Malawian cancer patients who
cannot aff ord expensive treatment abroad.
Although India is still a developing country,
it strives to share the fruits of its development
with friendly countries like Malawi.
The Government of India and the High
Commission are confi dent that this would
give further momentum to the already strong
bilateral and people to people relations
between India and Malawi.
