CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
The park plan combines the recently completed park at 900 Innes and the existing India Basin Shoreline Park area into India Basin Waterfront Park, one grand 10-acre waterfront park development that closes a critical gap in the San Francisco Bay Trail.
Features of the recently opened park at 900 Innes include:
• The Food Pavilion – for local vendors and community cooking classes( with En2Action)
• Shop building – for boat building and other projects( with Rocking the Boat)
• Operations & maintenance building
• Two public piers and a floating dock
• Accessible walkway and restrooms
• Native landscaping
•“ Lady Bayview” – a ground mural by local artist Raylene Gorum
• Renovated Historic Shipwright’ s Cottage, now a welcome center
In late 2025, the third and final phase of the project— the renovation of India Basin Shoreline Park— will begin, improving access, expanding recreational amenities, and enhancing shoreline habitat. Features include a gravel beach, cookout terrace, a new boathouse with floating dock, playgrounds, fitness stations, basketball courts, viewing platforms, improved lighting and furnishings, restored landscaping, and more.
