WE SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES AND WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
Leveraging the India Basin Waterfront Park project , as well as current and future park space , we aim to economically uplift community members by providing job trainings and professional development opportunities , while also supporting local businesses .
We saw the graduation of 16 community members from the India Basin Waterfront Park project ’ s specialty construction training program in 2023 . The program was a partnership of the India Basin Waterfront Park project partners and the San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development and its CityBuild Construction Training Academy .
The aim was to provide family-sustainable careers , with graduates being placed in jobs throughout the Bay Area and even working on the park project at 900 Innes .
Additional programs we ’ ve organized include job fairs , markets at the park featuring local small businesses , a financial planning program through Smart Money Coaching and more .
