here is much praise and anticipation about the in-demand, recently hailed the
“Singing Nurse” in Dallas,
Texas also known as Shenekia “Neicy” Walker-Vann! Born August 9th,
1982 in Panama City, Florida, this
soulful vocalist has always had a passion for utilizing her choral essence
on a stage for the rest of the world
to experience. That stage has been
one of both charity and enchantment.
Neicy has engaged her desire of musical philanthropy by becoming both
a nurse and advocate for charity with
her organization “The Helping Advocates”. How does she incorporate her
music; by using her voice as a healing
instrument to those in times of distress
and as a gift to those who are in need.
Her angelic melodies of soul and inspiration have been deemed as healing
mechanisms. She has inspired and
encouraged others within the music
world to use their talents for the uplifting of others. “The more you give, the
more you receive” is a familial chant
that fuels the drive to sing for a reason.
She was dubbed as the “Singing Nurse”

during Dallas’s K104FM’s “Your
Talent” competition. The sensation
from her singing coupled with her
chronicle of healing the ailing earned
her the title. Currently competing in
“Texas Talent Live”, this songstress
is a new aspiring star available for
discovery. Neicy recently made runner-up at the House of Blues, Dallas’
“Your Name in Lights” competition.
She is now performing at the House of
Blues as the opening act for scheduled
performers once a month. Her first
performance is dedicated solely to her
fans. She is definitely one to keep your
eye on.
