In a world where emerging artists are constantly given advice to stay in their lane and maintain creativity , Tamara has been a granted a permit to serve her soulful melodies to the masses on a platter of music genres . She reigns in the independent music realm as the Pop , R & B , Jazz and Hip- Hop singing sensation that has also been known to spit a few bars , act and model .
Tamara was born in Brooklyn , NY with a beautifully strong voice that could easily pierce a rowdy crowd and calm them to listeners , admirers even . As a youngster , she grew up singing background and harmony on her church choir , but soon took the lead . Before long , she began to take charge of more than the microphone with music collaborations , songwriting for ASCAP and live performances at the Apollo Theatre and Williamsburg music festival . Her strong stage prescense always leaves the crowd in tears because Tamara commands the attention with her raw vocals and enticing melodies . Tamara has even appeared in the Boston Globe , on NBC TV and in numerous blogs , media outlets and publications showing off her irresistible smile , bubbly personality and ultimate love for the camera .
Tamara has been teasing her way to a well-rounded catalogue of music . In January 2012 , she released her debut project ‘ Sneak Preview ’ which included a classic jazz , yet sexy and soulful remake of ‘ Fever ’ as well as some amazing original material including “ Sue You For Love ” and more . Then in Novemeber 2012 , Tamara was back with another EP “ Unleashed ”. Her sophomore project was at the very least outspoken . She let her lyrics do all the talking , while rapping on dance tracks , singing a capella and then some . It ’ s was a no holds barred array of music in several genres all cleverly put together . In December 2012 , while there weren ’ t many independent artist dabbling in Holiday music , Tamara effortlessly brought an original hip hop track “ Hey Santa ” that was a holiday favorite during the Christmas season . She didn ’ t stop there . In April 2013 , Tamara was back at it again with another round of goodness . Tamara embarked on a socially conscious EP P . ublic S . ervice A . nnouncement . And with a theme song “ Do Your Part ”, Tamara has willingly embraced boldness , creativity and comedy in her music singing about issues ranging from sagging pants to murder to overcrowded prisons on some Jazz , Funk , Hip Hop and R & B productions . In addition to the positive messages in the music , Tamara still manages to give more ! Proceeds for the first six month after release go to charities that Tamara says are already seeking to help our communities and society as a whole .
Her music influences stem from legends and her songwriting concepts are powerful , comical and sexy ; attributes that keep her supporters growing and take first-timers by storm . Tamara writes about love and communication . She says what needs to be said telling more than both sides of the story . She spares no feelings and literally steps on toes as some of the lyrics in her songs suggest that the people involved may get hurt . There ’ s something to be said about an artist who can passionately , yet playfully sing about a kitty cat and still manage to connect with music lovers from 8 months to 108 years of age .
