A $200 million reimagining of Hotel del
Coronado is underway. This exciting
endeavor will transform the legendary
resort into an even more luxurious
oceanfront property and bustling seaside
village. In the works since 2008, the
Master Plan will expand, elevate, renovate
and preserve The Del, ensuring that the
131-year-old icon will remain a favorite
destination for the next 100 years.
“We have a lot in store for Hotel del
Coronado,” says General Manager Harold
Rapoza Jr. “Now we have the privilege
of ushering in this next chapter, in which
we rejuvenate The Del’s timeless story
with restorations and the addition of new,
unprecedented experiences that will
create memories for generations to come.”
While we have completed our new sea-

to-table, oceanfront restaurant Serea
renovated our Vista Walk reception area;
our focus now turns to The Cabanas,
guestrooms and meeting space, along
with our Main Pool and Sun Deck, which
will open in May 2020. Here’s a peek at
what’s to come.
