Skating by the Sea
During the holiday season, The Del is
transformed into a one-of-a-kind winter
wonderland. A gorgeous rink surrounded
by fire pits and cozy lounge seating takes
over the Windsor Lawn for beachfront
skating and family gatherings. With a
backdrop of golden sand, fiery tangerine
sunsets, blazing bonfires on the beach,
crashing surf and the red turret of The
Del bedecked with twinkling lights; it’s the
ultimate Southern California celebration of
the holidays. And throughout the season,
Hotel del Coronado shines brightly,
welcoming new and old friends.
Skating by the Sea returns for its 15th
season, opening on November 22 and
welcoming skaters of all ages until
January 5, 2020. A portion of the Skating
proceeds benefit the Make-A-Wish
Foundation ® of San Diego.
Frostbite
Our new VIP lounge offers front-row
seating at the skating rink for fireside
dining, lively libations and cozy comfort
foods. Order up some cocoa or try
our peppermint mocha cocktail. The
Frostbite menu features delectables like
cheeseboards, clam chowder, churros
