On Thanksgiving Day in 1892, a mysterious stranger checked in under an alias and never checked out. The forlorn woman spent five days waiting in despair, as her love failed to arrive. While her tragic life ended with a gunshot, it captured the nation’s attention. Who was this “Beautiful Stranger” and what drove her to take her own life that cold, dark winter night? Though eventually identified as 24-year- old Kate Morgan, her story remains shrouded in mystery. Be on the lookout as endless accounts of our resident ghost’s shenanigans have been shared by guests and staff.
