Editor’s Letter Education (AATE) National Conference in New York City just months away. As a member of the planning committee, I am thrilled for you all to find out what wonderful sessions and discussions we have in store for you in our exciting and dynamic city. Justin Daniel of Opening Act writes about the organization presenting at its first national conference in “Going National: Opening Act’s 20-Year Journey towards AATE’s Conference 2019” and Janette Martinez and I share some hot NYC tips for conference goers in “The NYC A-Z List” which members can access online! As I mentioned in our Winter edition, in 2019 we will be exploring how theatre education can be used as a tool to not only bond individuals but inspire them to make positive change. For our Spring Issue, we focus on our national community, which is especially fitting with the 2019 American Alliance for Theatre and Digital Support: Using Skype to Teach the Staged Reading.” The Network Spotlight features the Playwright Network in “Your Play Your Way: Slams & Games” by Jeff Jenkins and Anne Negri. Our Immediate Past Chair of AATE’s Board of Directors Gary Minyard breaks down our new election process in the board perspective, “AATE’s New Vision for Elections.” This will be my last edition as Editor-in-Chief of Incite/Insight. It has been my honor to bring this platform back to the AATE community.
