Charlie Puth- River: Though this isn’t a new release and some of us may have heard it, I recently did and fell in love with it. The whole extended metaphor was slightly comical to be honest and the entire didn’t do that well. However I personally thought that Puth’s high pitched vocals and the piano were catchy. His voice is melodious and this song deserved some more recognition and appreciation.
Russ- Wife You Up:
As soon as I heard John Mayer had played the guitar for this track, I downloaded it. Russ has had good music consistently and this is a cheesy ode to the love of his life through dropping bars. The lyrics seem heartfelt and are very sweet indeed. It’s something you can just listen to and relax.
Jhene Aiko- While We’re Young: Probably the most popular song on her new album, ‘Trip’, till now, this song has a slow beat to it. Her high notes are perfect and don’t stretch out on for too long and has a hint of the insane basic trap beat. The multiple vocals was a great idea and everyone should also check out ‘Sativa’ on the album. “It’s A Vibe” for slow evenings and will cheer one up!
