HIT SINGER OLIVIA DEAN SHARES HER EXCITEMENT AT BEING NAMED BURBERRY HER’ S NEW AMBASSADOR.

The Burberry Her fragrance represents freedom, self-expression and the modern woman. According to Olivia Dean, it’ s inspired by London, a city of beautiful contrasts.“ When I began developing the fragrance, this was my starting point, but I knew it had to be a continuation, not a repeat, of this story. The scent had to show the growing intensity and freedom of the( Burberry) Her woman in an even more daring and sophisticated way,” she says.

It’ s not about being boxed and tamed; there is an element of fluidity and individuality to the brand, which is what Dean believes in.“ The fragrance has this beautiful duality to it that incorporates soft femininity, alongside a layer of strength and independence. That contrast really mirrors how I express myself through music and how I approach life in general. It’ s not about fitting into one idea of who you should be, but instead, embracing all the layers that make you unique,” she adds.

THE SCENT SIGNATURE
The Burberry Her scent signature comprises red berries, alongside ambers, woods, ambroxan, oak moss and praline notes. When creating this scent, the Burberry Her perfumer, Aurelien Guichard, says he wanted to ensure he stayed true to these foundations and DNA, while exploring bold new scent profiles.“ I wanted the scent to feel multifaceted, layered, bold, encouraging freedom of expression and emotion from the wearer.” Which makes it easier to see why Burberry chose Dean for this partnership. The perfume has contrasting elements that are soft yet strong, bold yet subtle, light yet deep.
Dean’ s first impression of the fragrance was already a hundred.“ It’ s a very chic, sophisticated brand. Burberry as a brand has that timeless quality, and ultimately a Britishness that naturally, being a Brit, I adore.”
EXPANDING THE OLIVIA DEAN BRAND
After winning a Grammy this year, more opportunities are unlocking for Dean, such as this fragrance endorsement.
She says,“ As a British artist, I’ ve always admired what Burberry represents. It’ s such an iconic brand with a rich heritage, but also unafraid to push boundaries for the modern era. It was truly a dream come true when we began discussing the partnership.”
Following years of hard work, Dean is receiving her flowers from various creative angles, including her sold-out concerts. She says,“ I’ m really excited for my tour that is going to be in arenas, which is crazy! We have sold out four nights at the O2 in London, which I can’ t quite believe – that’ s a lot of people!”
Soaking in the moment is what she can’ t wait for, and she is determined to create something that lasts forever. IB
