A MESSAGE TO THE NEXT GENERATION
Roos knows young girls are watching. Her advice is refreshingly real:“ Always focus on yourself and your own journey, don’ t compare yourself to someone else … use that to your advantage to always work hard towards your goals and always have the humility aspect to it.”
THE FUTURE( ON HER TERMS)
Ask her where she’ ll be in five years, and she smiles.“ I’ m someone who lives in the moment and [ I try ] not to get ahead of myself, but my interest will be in coaching or to start my own academy or business, which I’ m passionate about.”
For now, Roos isn’ t just chasing tries and trophies. She’ s chasing purpose, impact, and a future where young girls see rugby not as a dream, but as a given. And if her career is any indication, she won’ t just be part of that future – she’ ll be shaping it.
GETTING PERSONAL
Off the field, Roos is quietly stylish.“ Personal style is important, because it’ s how you carry yourself and how you value yourself. Neatness is very important for me.”
Her favourite tour memory? Dubai 2026, but not for the stadium lights.“ Desert safari, riding camels, quad bikes and dune bashing with sandboards … There were so much laughter, fun and enjoyment.”
At home, she keeps it simple: books, coffee, breakfast spots. Balance, she believes, is as important as speed and strength.
