Mozambique is a country held together by its elements: sea, land, and sky constantly swapping notes, arguing, making up, and starting again. It’ s the circle of life, and the country and its people are embracing it.

PART 1: THE SEA
The sea sets the mood. The Mozambique Channel is no calm neighbour. It births cyclones as easily as it brews sunsets. Each summer, those spirals of wind toss up chaos and nourishment in equal measure, scattering nutrients that feed reefs and fisheries. In 2025, record sea temperatures pushed fish migrations south and left fishermen scratching their heads and rewriting old wisdoms.“ The sea doesn’ t tell time anymore,”
