Electric City:

PERCHED ABOVE THE PULSE OF SEA POINT, ELECTRIC CITY IS WHERE CAPE TOWN COOL MEETS CONSIDERED LUXURY. HOUSE OF APAX HAS TRANSFORMED THIS PENTHOUSE AT 343 ON B INTO A BOLD YET BEAUTIFULLY BALANCED RETREAT.

Designed by Rudolph Jordaan and his team, the home is both grounded and dynamic, a place where strong colour, clean lines and warm texture create an atmosphere that is both energised and comforting.

A VISUAL LANGUAGE OF COLOUR AND CALM
The home’ s visual language is clear. Petrol-blue cabinetry, terracotta tiling and warm mustard undertones set a palette that feels contemporary without feeling cold.
THE HEART OF THE HOME
The kitchen and dining area form the lively centre of the penthouse, a meeting point of function, form and attitude. A golden pendant casts a soft, ambient glow over the island, while vivid orange stools and dining chairs introduce a bold, sculptural retro punctuation. This is reflected in the blue-glass dining table set within a black metal frame.
LIGHT THAT SHAPES THE MOOD
Here, light shifts throughout the day, shaping the interior. Morning light brightens the open-plan layout, while late afternoon introduces warm shadows and reflective blues. At sunset, the balcony becomes a cinematic frame.
BOLD DESIGN, EFFORTLESS
Despite the bold palette, nothing feels heavy or over-designed. The penthouse ultimately invites slow, intentional living, cooking with the sliding doors open, gathering around the reflective table, or simply watching the city shift into night through the development’ s scenic arches. IB
